The Second Avenue Subway, a New York City Subway line that runs under Second Avenue on the East Side of Manhattan, has been proposed since 1920. This shows one of the cars being loaded onto a flatbed to be carried to the Rockaways.
  • With many parts of the system approaching or exceeding 100 years of age, general deterioration can be seen in many subway stations.
